Kemi Badenoch, the first Black woman to lead Britain's Conservative Party, is an outspoken libertarian who believes the British state is broken and aims to fix it with smaller government and radical new ideas. Born in London to Nigerian parents, she spent much of her childhood in Nigeria, which shaped her political outlook. Badenoch's rise in politics includes serving in various government posts and being elected to Parliament in 2017. She idolizes Margaret Thatcher and advocates for a low-tax, free-market economy
